Easter Celebrations

On the weekend just gone I sang in the Soul Factor Easter Concert. This was our 25th and our final one and it was beautiful. A wonderful way to start this Holy Week and prepare for Easter itself.

I've spoken about Soul Factor Gospel Choir before as it has been a part of my life for 25 years and it is a wonderful group. My parents run it and so it has been a family thing for all of us, as well as the other members becoming family.

An Easter concert was the way we began all those years ago and still Easter music is some of our favourites.

Emotional, intensely moving, hopeful and uplifting all at the same time, these pieces of music tell of the pain and celebration of the sacrifice of Jesus. Whether this is what you believe or not, you can not help but be moved and the concert ending with a soaring rendition of the Hallelujah Chorus, people on their feet, smiling, cheering and leaving on a high is what music is all about. Bringing people together with joy.

It is something I will truly miss next year, as Soul Factor is finishing up at the end of this year. My parents have decided to retire and truthfully if it got taken over by someone else, myself included, it wouldn't be the same and we don't want that. So this year is the final one and what a year it will be. I was already emotional on the weekend, it's only going to get worse haha!!! But I am truly grateful for it and what it has done in my life.

So you might hear a bit more about Soul Factor over the year as we finish up, it really is a part of me and my family and also an example of having something in your life that makes it better. Do you have something like this in your life??

I want to wish you and your family a very Happy Easter. I hope that you are spending it with those you love, that you enjoy the time off and rest a bit.

So what are you Easter Celebrations? Do you have any family traditions that you do?? Easter Egg Hunt? Head to a holiday home or something?

We have extended family gatherings, easter egg hunts, hot cross buns, church and laughs and enjoy the little break. All the kids get excited and will be lovely to see Oscar interacting more this year. He has already got into the Easter Chocolate (toddlers are fast!!) so it should be a fun weekend.

I wanted to give you a gift for reading this and being here. If you have little ones this is a fun way to enhance your Easter Egg Hunt. This Kit is Printable and use it as you like. To download just pop your email in and click the button.

Have a wonderful Easter.
